How my first marketing course came about is an interesting story, but before we get into the details of the course I want to tell you how I came up with the concept. You see during the winter of 2007 my online earnings had slowly taken a fall, by spring time I was barely making $2,000 a month.
While many people might be quite happy to earn 2k a month from their online efforts it was simply not enough at the time. I began to realize that a “day job” … god forbid might be my only option if I did not revamp my marketing strategies and tactics.
So I began to formulate my plan of attack, I sat down and thought about all the tactics and strategies I had used in the past. Anything that had made me money and was cost and time effective was noted. I soon began to realize that many of my most profitable sites were sites I had purchased from other site owners or domains that I had purchased that were “expired domains”.
From here I began to formulate a plan, one that I would put into action without hesitation and focus on for the next six months. The plan was fairly simple and went something like this:
My Early Revenue Domains Strategy
- I would purchased expired domain names that met certain criteria (criteria that I felt would help my sites rank well on the various search engines).
- Once these domain names were in my control I would launch sites as quickly as possible focusing on adding unique keyword rich content that was based on commercial services and products (this is where the money is).
- The site would be based on wordpress, this allowed me to launch the sites faster by using the same wordpress theme.
- I would monetize the sites using ebay (think products in many, many sectors)
- I would also include adsense to further boost my online earnings.
Next I went to work and start to hunt for dirt cheap expired domain names that I could pick up for less than $30 (remember I did not have much income to waste on failed attempt). Sure enough I started to find some quality names to bid on and ended up winning some amazing domains, for pennies on the dollar.
I then headed into stage two of my plan and began to launch websites on wordpress, the site went up and the income came in! As you can see by the screen shot on the left my income from ebay doubled each month for a 5 month period! Not to mention I also was increasing my online earnings from adsense 
I continued to work my system though out the fall and winter and it continues to work to this very day. The best part about my Rev Domain tactics is that these websites make me money each and every month (on auto pilot) … I do very little in the way of maintaining the sites but the revenue continues to flow.
